What are YOU doing on Saturday?

When Irene blew her stormy breath down our necks, some events had to be postponed.

One was Tea and Revelry at the ModVic House in Sharon, MA.

Due to the date change I believe there are still tickets available.

Join us!!  Vagabond Diabolis In Musica players Professor Krumpp, Captain Ali and Helena Hand-Basquet will be providing musical entertainment from time to time during the event.

More video from TGNESE

Tourdion started it’s life as a jolly good French Medieval drinking song.

This video, featuring Professor Krumpp and Miss Laura Krumppette and Miss Nina Krumppette gets steamy for your pleasure.

Video! Well not quite

I had hoped to put some videos up here today, but much to my dismay I do not have them at this location.

However, for your pleasure, this link will ZOOM you directly to Minstrel Krampf’s YouTube page where you may view numerous videos by the parallel universe Medieval band, Diabolis In Musica.  They are a humble lot as well, with no false boasts or claims of extraordinary greatness.

We do love them though.

The Great New England Steampunk Exhibition - Friday

Professor Krumpp and I arrived Friday afternoon and set up the proposed ‘landship’ adjacent to Jake Von Slatt’s Steampunk bus. I immediately noticed the blue tubing from Coco Key had been neglected prior to our arrival.

How cool would it have been if it were brass? I do promise to photoshop. Under the pop-up, was the exterior parlor.  We had a rolltop desk and 2 fancy side tables and served tea at teatime to pretty much just ourselves. We did offer lemon poppyseed cake to passers-by, but there was not much traffic.  People were really still just arriving.

We even had electricity!  I had, of course, neglected to pack the 3 lamps I wanted to bring. I found the extension cord when we got home Sunday night. We did have a blue rope light and a bunch of lanterns and electric tea lights.

We played at the Friday night Music Hall.  The crowd was small, but the sound was loud. We went on early and Tanya Krumppette only made the last song after spending 8 hours in traffic coming up from NYC. The worst part is she had to turn around and go back first thing in the morning for a photo shoot.

Great shot of Captain Ali, not sure who took it, but I will find out.  My immediate guess is Pan Wilson or Michael Meissner.

(and the winner is Pan Wilson!)

We still played a killer set and sold a bunch of CD’s.  We then retired to the wagon for nightcaps and some hanging out. Not sure when we went to sleep, but it sure was COLD.
